Hikuai School
Hikuai School is a beautiful rural school set below the majestic Pinnacles and next to the meandering Tairua River. We serve the educational needs of students in both Pauanui and Tairua with each location being only a short distance away. Central Kids Kindergarten
Central Kids Tairua is our local community based kindergarten. We offer education to 2-6 year olds in a natural setting, building children’s sense of belonging by connecting with our local area. Tamariki learn through a play based programme which supports and follows their interests alongside fully qualified teachers. We aspire to work closely with parents and whānau and value their input into their child’s education. We have close links with the local schools and work with them to support transition to school. Whenuakite Country Kids
Whenuakite Country Kids provide Early Childhood Education and care for children from 0 to 6 years. We are a non-profit incorporated society (Mercury Bay South Early Childhood Education Centre Inc.). We operate Monday to Friday - 8am to 4pm. WCK is licensed for 39 children with separate areas for Preschool in the Kereru Room and Infants & Toddlers in the Tui Room.
